Who we are
The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation. We are a charity registered in Scotland SC003558. Our registered office is Mansfield Traquair Centre, 15 Mansfield Place, Edinburgh, EH3 6BB.
This privacy notice tells you what data we collect and what we use it for on the Climate Confident website, which is adapted from Going Greener Together, used under creative commons licence CC-BY-NC and is run by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations
What information do we collect?
When you browse the Climate Confident website, we will not record any personal data about you except your IP address.
We use Google Analytics and Hotjar cookies to track how the website is used, but personal data is not recorded, and your internet (IP) address is anonymised. Find out more about how we use cookies.
If you decide to use the netzero check-up we will collect your name, email address and information that you enter about your organisation. The check-up has been built using Scoreapp and your information will also be stored within the SCVO account on the Scoreapp systems.
If you choose to submit a case study we will collect your name, organisation, a photo (if you choose to submit one) and a quote from you – this will appear on the Climate Confident website and will be stored by SCVO.
How we use the information?
We will use the information you enter in the check up to send you the results of your checkup and recommendations.
The information that you have entered on Scoreapp, will be stored for 3 years and then deleted.
We will keep and use anonymised information from the check-up to prepare reports on how the sector is dealing with and preparing for netzero.
You will be able to choose to subscribe your email address to receive other relevant information such as funding opportunities and other support – you will be able unsubscribe at any time. If you choose to subscribe your email address will be linked to an SCVO mailing list through Zapier
Your email address will remain subscribed until you choose to unsubscribe.
Your rights over your information
By law, you can ask us what information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate.
You can also ask us to give you a copy of the information and to stop using your information.
